Brave – Brenda Chapman, Mark Andrews and Steve Purcell

In 2013, Brenda Chapman became the first woman to win an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature Film, which she shared with co-director Mark Andrews for the 2012 Disney movie Brave. Chapman’s second film (her first was the 1998 animated film The Prince of Egypt) introduced a new, fiery princess to the Disney roster of beloved princesses. Red-headed Merida is determined to make her own path in life, but when her headstrong ways cause chaos, she has to call upon her bravery to set things right.
