High Life – Claire Denis

Well-known for her debut feature film Chocolat (1988), French director Claire Denis has won considerable acclaim over the years for her work. Her self-declared formalist cinematic focus is generally on the faces and bodies of her characters. Her 2019 sci-fi drama, High Life, takes us on a mysterious journey starring Robert Pattinson and Juliette Binoche as criminals who agree to be sent into a black hole in space on a dangerous mission, to avoid the death penalty.
