Mark Hamill

Mark Hamill was born September 25, 1951 and is best known for playing Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars (1977-2019) films, for which he has won three awards for Best Actor from the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films. He began his career as a young actor on popular TV shows of the 1970s, and just prior to landing Star Wars, he was cast as the eldest brother on the pilot for the TV family drama Eight is Enough, but had to be replaced when the pilot was given the green light to be a series. Hamill has also provided voices for a wide number of TV shows and movies, most notably as the Joker in a variety of animated Batman TV series, movies and video games.
