Reese Witherspoon: Wild

After Reese Witherspoon’s work in Legally Blonde as Elle Woods, her career shot her to stardom. In 2005, she starred in Walk The Line as June Carter Cash, a role that won her an Academy Award for Best Actress. Over the next few years, Witherspoon lost her footing, bringing audiences critical disappointments such as Four Christmases and How Do You Know. In 2014, she recognized the direction her career was going, telling Charlie Rose on 60 Minutes, “I was just kind of floundering career-wise because I wasn’t making things I was passionate about, I was just kind of working. It was really clear the audiences weren’t responding to anything I was putting out there.” That same year, Witherspoon released Wild, a movie she produced and starred in. Her Academy Award-nominated performance was the best audiences had seen from her in years. She hasn't looked back since then, even producing and starring in the critically acclaimed series The Morning Show for Apple TV+ and Big Little Lies for HBO.
