Joaquin Phoenix

Joaquin Phoenix was first nominated in 2001 for his supporting role in Gladiator, followed by his performance in a lead role in Walk The Line. After an acting hiatus, his next nomination came in 2013 with the universally acclaimed drama, The Master. His return to film earned him a nomination for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role, but the win was just out of reach.
