Of all of this year's nominations for Live-Action Short Films, The Letter Room stands out for one reason above all others, its casting of Oscar Isaac as correction officer Richard. To get an actor of that talent and caliber for a short film is one thing, but knowing what the story is about, it’s easy to see what attracted the actor to the project. That level of star power likely gives The Letter Room the edge for the Oscar.
