The Predator (2018)

When it was announced that Fox would be adding a new entry into the Predator franchise, there was a ton of excitement for the project. Not only would this new film be a direct sequel to the original film, but it would be written and directed by Shane Black, who starred in and did script rewrites on the original 1987 John McTiernan-directed film. Things seemed to be going smoothly until reshoots for the film were announced. While it seemed standard at first, it soon became apparent the film was loaded with issues, and upon its release, it became obvious. The narrative was jumbled and continuity errors were abundant with regards to its third act. The cherry on top was the film's ridiculous ending, which did not sit well with audiences and came off as entirely silly.
