Marvin Hamlisch

American composer and conductor Marvin Hamlisch (pictured in 1997 with cast of Caroline in the City during a guest appearance on the sitcom) achieved an EGOT in 1995 with the Outstanding Individual Achievement in Music Direction Emmy for Barbra: The Concert. He received three Oscars in 1973, two for The Way We Were and one for The Sting. In 1974 he won four Grammys, and in 1976 he won a Tony Award for Best Musical Score for A Chorus Line. Similar to Richard Rodgers, he received a Pulitzer Prize, making him the second person ever to achieve a PEGOT.
