Kicking off this list is a film from the start of the decade. Pixar’s Toy Story 3 was the long-awaited sequel to the animated franchise that started the revolution of CG animated films. At the time of its release, Toy Story 3 would set new records, including the highest opening by an animated film at $110 million and domestic total at $415 million, while also becoming the first animated movie to cross the billion-dollar threshold. Additionally, Toy Story 3 earned Pixar its second consecutive Best Picture nomination at the Oscars in 2011 following Up’s nomination in 2010.
