Shazam! – $140 million

The latest film in Warner Bros. DCEU helped continue the studio’s turnaround, after a tumultuous end to 2017. Building on the success of 2018’s Aquaman, Shazam!’s $140 million gross may seem more modest than Aquaman’s surprising $335 million gross, but given its smaller scale (a reported $100 production budget) and being sandwiched between Marvel juggernauts in Captain Marvel and Avengers: Endgame, its performance at the box office is rather impressive.
