A Home at the End of the World (2004)

Adapted from the 1990 novel of the same name by Pulitzer-Prize winning author Michael Cunningham, A Home at the End of the World follows naive and childlike Bobby (Colin Farrell), who, after the loss of his entire family, struggles to find his place in the world. After Bobby's career takes him to New York City, he unexpectedly re-enters his childhood friend Jonathan's (Dallas Roberts) life. Jonathan, now openly gay, soon finds himself conflicted by his feelings for both Bobby and his beautiful, eccentric roommate Clare (Robin Wright). This GLAAD Media Award-nominated coming-of-age film is about three people who face some of life's biggest stages, from heartbreak to parenthood to illness, and how they learn to cope — with and without each other.
