The Kids Are Alright (2010)

In the four-time Oscar-nominated dramedy The Kids Are All Right, Nic (Annette Bening) and Jules (Julianne Moore) are a same-sex couple who have each given birth to a child using the same sperm donor. Their daughter Joni (Mia Wasikowska) plans to head off to college shortly after celebrating her 18th birthday, but their son Laser (Josh Hutcherson) pleads with her to try and contact their sperm donor father. Reluctantly, she finds the donor, who is named Paul (Mark Ruffalo). After Joni and Laser meet Paul, their mothers find out what they have done and decide to meet with him as well. As the relationships between all of the family members grow, their entire lives are affected.
