John Demjanjuk, a family man and grandfather originally from Ukraine, was considered a good citizen, living the American dream. Then, at 66, he was accused of being the infamous Nazi concentration camp guard known as Ivan the Terrible. He proclaimed his innocence, and although several survivors identified him as the man who committed acts of horrific violence, new evidence cast reasonable doubt over his identity.
