Posh snubs Paris

By Tribute on July 20, 2007 | 37 Comments

Victoria BeckhamVictoria Beckham and her husband, soccer star David Beckham, have moved to Los Angeles so he can play for the LA Galaxy. She’s also got a reality TV series called Victoria Beckham: Coming to America, and is close friends with Tom Cruise and his wife, Katie Holmes. But she won’t be buddying up with Paris Hilton anytime soon. Though Paris told the London Sun, “I just know Victoria and I would get along. We could be soul mates,” Victoria begs to differ. “Over my dead body,” she reportedly told a friend. “We couldn’t be more different. You won’t catch me falling out of nightclubs with no knickers on.”

I love Posh, but come on — she dyed her hair to look like Paris!

  2. Bill • July 20, 2007 @ 8:59 AM

No, I don’t believe for a second that Victoria was trying to emulate Paris by changing her hair colour. I don’t think that anyone with an IQ greater than their shirt size would want to be like the empty-headed Paris Hilton.

The total arrogance of Paris – does she think
that everyone should fall at her feet … good
for Victoria – nice to know someone finally
has a little bit of common sense in this dog
eat dog world … WAY TO GO VICTORIA !!!!

  4. The Golden Martian • July 20, 2007 @ 9:32 AM

Posh isn’t the superstar she once was; it’s not so surprising that she should copy the trendsetting Ms. Hilton.

  5. Sandy • July 20, 2007 @ 9:37 AM

I don’t think Victoria is any smarter than paris.. thats just my opinion from watching her new show.

  6. Jennifer • July 20, 2007 @ 9:39 AM

The only popularity points paris ever gets is making a total ass of herself, I’d rather hang out with a donkey, at least it has a reason for being that way, and it probably has a higher I.Q. than paris anyway!

  7. syber • July 20, 2007 @ 10:14 AM

Someone with some sense needs to befriend that poor misguided woman.

  8. dani • July 20, 2007 @ 10:19 AM

good for posh, standing up to Paris when everyone else just loves her off despite the crap she pulls. ANd koodos to victoria for standing up against flats in her show

  9. karen • July 20, 2007 @ 11:41 AM

Is there anything genuine about Posh from her hair to her boobs and can she not every smile???
She comes across as so totally self absorbed, arrogant and could be the grand dame of conspicuous consumption.
Go home Posh or do some image adjustment in a country not quite so stuffy as your Britain.
Even best buddy Katie Holmes can smile and show affestion once in a while.
LOOSEN UP GIRL and can’t you affort better boobs than the “in your face” implants you so proudly exhibit.

Why should Victoria want to look like Paris or anyone else for that matter. I think Victoria is unique and is a lot of fun to hang out with despite what people think. From watching her show, we saw that she can be silly and fun as we saw when she did the whole doll switch idea. I thought it was pretty funny. Welcome Victoria, I think you can give Paris a run for her money. Stay cool…and don’t let La La land eat you alive.

Before anyone starts knocking anyone…I think they should open their OWN closet doors. The ELITE are people also. Live and let live. Why does every one have to be better than the next or compare them to this one or that one? Let them be themselves, If you don’t fancy them then leave them be, no one forces you to follow their every move. Good Lord look in your own mirror!!!

  12. vranakumpel • July 20, 2007 @ 1:08 PM

All right, Vic! Way to knock Paris down a peg or two (million)! It’s about time *somebody* stood up to that jailbird brat.

  13. Denise • July 20, 2007 @ 3:10 PM

Good sense Victoria! Just smile more and show us you have a fun personality, like you were on the Jay Leno show. Also dress a little more casual sometimes and change your hair back to your original colour, it suits you better.

  14. Heather • July 20, 2007 @ 3:26 PM

Whatever Posh is copying Paris, everyone goes blond in LA, she has been designing for years… Rock and Republic anyone?
    Paris sucks, period.

  15. Lindsay • July 20, 2007 @ 4:24 PM

come on! she didn’t dye her hair to look like paris. theres about 3 million people in l.a. with blond hair. and people who say posh never smiles, watch the show. shes actually pretty funny.

  16. Loverboy • July 20, 2007 @ 7:25 PM

I think Posh and Paris should get together, compare notes, and get to know each other, and then share what they learn with the rest of us. That way, we could all get the benefit of their wisdom about what it’s like to live in a world where your every move is put under a microscope.

  17. Izzy • July 20, 2007 @ 8:30 PM

The show was fantastically funny… and that was the point that Posh was trying to get across. She doesn’t take anything seriously and we shouldn’t take her show seriously. Just enjoy it – it’s a comedy.

  18. Green Machine • July 20, 2007 @ 9:33 PM

She didn’t dye her hair to look like Paris, she dyed her hair to look like Li-Lo.

  19. Marc N • July 20, 2007 @ 10:10 PM

Watch out Paris do not mess with Spice Girls eh i dont know i dont give a damn about Paris Hilton she play, play , golddigger or whatever she want everybody’s attetnion like she is in almost all in tv commerical , magazines etc etc so why can Paris Hilton work with her parents’s hotel as business lady or whatever her positon is so Victoria .. maybe i am right or wrong i think she is snob.. because she want everybody attention too so victoria want to be in her own reality show so everybody can fill her shoes becasue of her show so maybe i am right or wrong so that is my opinion have a good day !!!

  20. Morning Coffee • July 21, 2007 @ 12:27 AM

Posh should be realistic; she’s too old to compete with Paris and Li-Lo.

  21. Maurice • July 21, 2007 @ 12:38 AM

Good stuff I love Victoria, and loathe that damn no brain Paris:)

  22. Anonymous • July 21, 2007 @ 9:55 AM

Paris is a life size barbie doll

  23. Maggie • July 21, 2007 @ 10:43 AM

    Who cares!

  24. Cindy • July 21, 2007 @ 11:13 AM

Posh is a very mature young woman with many good qualities. She is a caring wife and mother. She has had her day, but I don’t think she did what Paris has done.
Paris is very phoney! She hasn’t grownup at her age and taken responsiblity for her actions, and I don’t think she will! Give her a little more time and she will be her own worst enemy.

  25. Andrea Adelman • July 21, 2007 @ 11:14 AM

I would think that Hairspray for the best comedy film

  26. Admirer • July 21, 2007 @ 11:30 AM

Oh but Posh is still my fantasy!

  27. Oval boy • July 21, 2007 @ 2:23 PM

I love Victoria. When I grow up I want to be just like her.

  28. Anonymous • July 21, 2007 @ 3:47 PM

When will people stop caring about this stupid celebrity culture…There once was a wonderful time when people were only famous if they did great movies, songs, plays, sports..ect. Since when did we give celebrity status to dumb blonde bimbos that don’t have a clue about what real life is like and only party, act slutty and make bad sex tapes…

At the very least..at least Posh can sing and has had a career. Paris is just a tool that needs to get a real life….

  29. Shazam Says!!!! • July 21, 2007 @ 5:11 PM

    Hey there “anonymous!”
Obviously you have not seen that sex tape, or you would be singing a totally different tune. Paris looks great in that film, and she fills man a man’s fantasy while doing so. Posh is hot, but very undesirable for her lack of doing anything other than being married to one of the most famous soccer players( and not a very good soccer player, at that!)in the world.
Paris’s sex tape beats by far anything that Posh and her husband has done. End of story!!

  30. k_h • July 21, 2007 @ 10:25 PM

Good for her. She’s way too classy to hang out with that floosy Paris Hilton.

  31. Anonymous • July 22, 2007 @ 7:16 AM

way to go posh paris is white trash

  32. whatever • July 22, 2007 @ 12:55 PM

the only reason paris would wanna be “friends” with posh so tht she can screw her husband.

  33. franca • July 23, 2007 @ 12:28 AM

hahaha @ whatever! thats probably the most honest and correct reply i’ve seen on this page.

  34. Ann • July 23, 2007 @ 2:30 AM

Who gives a rats ass, people need to worry about themselves instead of getting involved in other people problems. If it doesn’t affect me and my family in any way, why should we worry about what others are doing. They are the ones who have to suffer for it, not us.

  35. Yawnie • July 23, 2007 @ 10:44 AM

Come on. The one point that everyone seems to be over looking is that Victoria Beckham made her celebrity by actually being one, even if it was a few years a go and mainly to the “tween” crowd. The only thing Hilton is famous for is the “name”. And she uses it to the extreme. Too bad she can’t be productive and useful like her sister. Without the name, Paris is just another clubhopping, buttnaked skank.
Kudo’s to Victoria for being who she is because she was put there by fame, not just her name.

  36. jill • July 27, 2007 @ 9:26 PM

I don’t know what the fuss is all about over Victoria-she is NOT pretty, just an anorexic chic who clings to her celebrity thru her husband..!

  37. Dan • July 29, 2007 @ 11:12 PM

You are all losers for even caring to write about this stuff. Go watch an NFL dogfight!!! American morons!
