Reese Witherspoon, 35, does not want to press charges against the 84-year-old driver who hit the actress with her car on Wednesday. Reese was jogging through a crosswalk when the woman ran into her. Reese was taken to hospital by ambulance, but was released later that day, having sustained just a cut on her forehead. The elderly driver was cited for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk and has been ordered to retake her driving test within the next 30 days, as well as undergo a full eye examination and provide a list of any medication she is currently taking, according to TMZ.com. “The actress was not seriously injured and is resting comfortably at home,” Reese’s spokeswoman said in a statement.

If after this 84 year old driver maintains the right to continue driving after she completes all the prescribed tests then Reese should press charges to get her off the road and causing another accident where more serious consequences may arise.
