Russell Brand sued for allegedly hitting man with car

Russell Brand Russell Brand is being sued for $25,000 by a man who claims he hit him with his car. Victor Sneed has filed a lawsuit at the Los Angeles County Superior Court against the Rock of Ages actor claiming he drove into him last January. He says he suffered personal injury, property damage and had hospital bills as a result of the accident, totalling a claim of $25,000. Victor says Russell was driving "negligently" at the time, TMZ.com reports. This will be the second time Russell has been involved in court proceedings this year, after he was ordered to pay $500 in court fees and perform 20 hours of community service for throwing a photographer's cell through a window in March. However, he claimed afterwards he was "honored" to do it. He said: "I don't know what their format of community service is, but community service, that doesn't seem like a punishment. That seems like a duty. We are our community. Service is an honor. I'll be happy to do it."

Why is this guy coming forward now when he was struck with the car in January?? What, did he talk to a bunch of ambulance chasers and one finally took the case?
