Russell Crowe “a sweetheart”

Despite his rough and tough reputation, the cast and crew of 3:10 to Yuma call Russell Crowe “a sweetheart.” According to the New York Post, actors Ben Foster and Dallas Roberts told journalist Gregory Speck, “Now we know why his rugby team loves him so much.” They said Crowe, who plays a bad guy in the film, often hosted barbecues for both cast and crew during filming. However, they called co-star Christian Bale, who ironically plays the good guy, a prima donna who would arrive on the set by helicopter and never spoke to the rest of the cast unless it was required by the script.
