Sarah Jessica Parker’s wedding regret

By Alexandra Heilbron on February 6, 2009 | 16 Comments

Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica ParkerSarah Jessica Parker, who married fellow movie/Broadway star Matthew Broderick in 1997, told Harper’s Bazaar recently that if she had it all to do over again, she’d make one very big change — she’d wear a white dress. “I’m not kidding. White it up. I’d wear a beautiful, proper wedding dress, like I should have worn on the day,” Parker replied when asked about the possibility of a ceremony to renew her vows. Parker famously wore black on her wedding day. Parker and Broderick have a six-year-old son together, James Wilkie Broderick.

I think SJP and hubby are a delightful who do their best to be a “normal” couple raising their child in as much anonimity as possible unlike a certain large birthing, adopting and globe trotting twosome that I am so tired of hearing and reading about!!!
It is refreshing to hear some down to earth honesty from the private SJP and maybe this will squash the rumour mill of the not impending split…but not likely…too bad

I think that most women would do something different when they think back to their wedding. I can’t see how this is actually news.

What would you do differently, Lynn? At first I thought the headline meant SJP wished she’d chosen a different guy to marry, glad that wasn’t the case because I think they’re a really cute couple.

    Yup, slow news day indeed!

Perhaps she should have married a straight guy.

I thought they were getting a divorce due to the fact that he had an affair with a costar in his new movie?

This is really, really old news. She said this in another interview over a year ago.

She’d still look ugly in a white dress

One of the oddest couples in tinsel ville…..he – complete dullsville – no charisma and she’s full of herself and not sexy at all. How she gets all that glamour work is beyond my limited intelligence. Send her back to Pennsylvania.

I liked your comment, Karen, I have absolutely nothing against this couple, but if that’s such a BIG change what shade of dress one wears to their wedding…I guess comments stemming from “news” such as this will be colourless as well…

    HEY BEEBZ AND JIM.
“DITTO” on your comments. Had a damn good laugh. My sentiments exactly. Please, lose
    that “little girl voice.”

If you want news go to a news website, not a movie website. Duh.

the last time I looked, Dawn, the news website was detailing “who wore who” to the award show…

it’s all a part of the daily news

just as this site reports tragic news such as Travolta’s son’s death, they also make room for trivial tidbits…
