Spears released from psych ward

Britney Spears released from psych wardBritney Spears was released from the psych ward at UCLA Medical Center Wednesday after a seven day stay, despite the fact that she was on a 14-day hold. Both the doctor overseeing Spears’s care and her parents wanted her to stay, but the decision was overridden by a court representative, a source told People.com. After meeting up with paparazzi pal Adnan Ghalib, Britney went straight to the office of estate lawyer Adam Streisand. Streisand had claimed to represent Spears, but was rejected by the court on the grounds that Spears wasn’t mentally sound enough to hire a lawyer. Her father, Jamie Spears, who is temporary co-conservator of her $40-million fortune, and her mother Lynne Spears issued a joint statement last night to CNN’s Anderson Cooper: “We are deeply concerned about our daughter’s safety and vulnerability and we believe her life is presently at risk. There are conservatorship orders in place created to protect our daughter that are being blatantly disregarded. We ask only that the court’s orders be enforced so that a tragedy may be averted.”

What court representative overrode the parents and the doctors wishes? Osama must be crushing pills into the judges food too! lol

For having $40 million she does not hire very good lawyers. If you want action….all it takes is enough $$$$!!!

Wonder why she is wearing her grandpa’s hat???? Something is wrong with this picture???? It seems stretched or something. Her head and hands look too big for the rest of her….then again maybe they did that brushing technique on the photo to make her look skinnier, but they forgot to do her head and hands!!!

Hey now, watch it! I have that same hat! As for the big head, that’s from too much publicity, and as for the big hands, well, that’s from spending too much time in the changing room with her boyfriend! Lucky sucker.

she’s psycho, period. why did we need to have some ‘professional’ tell us something we’re already well aware of?

Yeah Nancy, the picture does look distorted or something. At least I hope it is, if that is her real hat, man, she has more problems than anyone realizes!
They shouldn’t have let her out, she needs long term therapy. I hope Sam (Osama) stays away from her, I think he’s a pretty bad influence, but she’ll probably contact him to find out what to do. Wonder if he gets his orders from Mary Kate? That’s it! Mary Kate is the ruler of the stars! That’s got to be it!

I really don’t think 14 days is really enough for her. I feel she needs to go somewhere far away from hollywood to a special place for help. A place where she is away from everybody, to get some real help. She needs to go far enough where there is no influnces in her life, no reporters & be there for a yr at the most. Not to go back to hollywood life till, she is stable & able to handle life better then she has. I do feel sorry for the girl though her life is such a mess. The courts need to wake up & see this young girl is in trouble & if they aren’t careful they may find another young star gone again & in not a good way.

We should all cut her some slack. If she truly does have bipolar disorder she is set to go through a great deal more of mental pain and personal turmoil in order to find a medication that will stabilize her, if in fact the doctor’s can find one that will work for her. Obviously most of you have not experienced bipolar disorder either personally or through someone close to you. I’m really tired of hearing ‘uninformed’ opinions.

Well Kim, since she has not yet been diagnosed……..your opinion is considered ‘uninformed’, isn’t it????

Tom Cruise…where are you? Britney needs help…from someone who knows all about psychiatry!!!

  13. tributegirl • February 11, 2008 @ 10:02 AM

    Tom’s busy lately, brainwashing Suri.
Brit needs to be sent Far Far Away, maybe to the swamp with Shrek & Fiona. It’s quiet & peaceful there for her.
