Raini Rodriguez Biography
Born: July 01, 1993
Date of Birth: July 1, 1993
Born in Bryan, Texas, Raini Rodriguez was just 12 when she, her little brother Rico and their mother Diane, moved to Los Angeles so Raini could try auditioning for movies and television.
Back home in Texas, she was part of the Nikki Pederson Talent Academy, which entered her as part of a group to be in an International Modeling and Talent Association competition. Raini won and the decision was made for Diane and her two youngest to seek their dreams in Hollywood for one year while Raini's father, Roy Rodriguez, stayed behind in Bryan to manage his business, Rodriguez Tire Service along with his oldest sons Ray and Roy Jr.
Raini, who is of Mexican descent, signed with Susan Osser Talent Management and landed her first commercial in 2005, which was in the Spanish language, even though she didn't speak any Spanish.
Although the first year in Los Angeles was slow for Raini, Rico booked several jobs right away, including several commercials and a guest role on the Disney Channel series Cory in the House.
Soon after, Raini landed a guest role on the Disney Channel series The Suite Life of Zack and Cody and a pilot titled Family of the Year.
It was in 2009 that Raini got a big break when she landed a starring role as Kevin James' daughter Maya in the big screen feature film Paul Blart: Mall Cop. Her father accompanied her on set while her older brothers handled the family business back home and her mother stayed in Los Angeles with Rico.
Her next feature film was Disney's Prom (2011) and shortly afterwards, Raini was cast in a starring role as Trish De La Rosa on Disney Channel's new series Austin & Ally. Playing Ally's best friend, Raini was a favorite and gained many fans. The show was a hit and lasted four seasons, the typical run for a Disney TV series.
Raini reprised her role as Maya in Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 (2015).
In her spare time, Raini enjoys hanging with her friends, playing guitar and reading.
