When the body of a missing 13-year-old girl is discovered, Detective John Cardinal (Billy Campbell) is called back to the Homicide Unit. He is forced to work with his new partner Detective Lise Delorme (Karine Vanasse), who is keeping close tabs on him. Not only must the duo race to search for the serial killer, but also deal with their own personal issues.
This six-part mini-series is adapted from the award-winning novel "Forty Words for Sorrow," written by Ontario native Giles Blunt.
