Very professional. Great acting. Inspiring.
Really well done
Loved the true happenings of the time. Well done also.
Clean, feel good movie! A must see
If you’re an atheist you will hate it. If you love Jesus, or want to know more about Jesus, you will most likely love the movie. Based on a true story.
Pro: Very much like I remember from the days of my youth I was fifteen at the time in Florida. I Received the Lord and now 50 years later serve Him as an anointed one. Praise God, Jesus IS LORD Cons: None
My husband and I really enjoyed this movie. That it is based on a true story made it more enriching. Even if you’re not into Jesus you will be taken back on time to this noted time in history.
Excellent Christian movie, worth seeing... God is calling us with the Holy Spirit. The movie series the chosen is also enlightening to watch. We are looking forward to seeing all the Christian movies.
I love the fact this movie tells the true story in whole. The good and bad of the time. It's very relatable for the ages. You won't leave the same way you came in. It's great to see how the churches came out of this movement and how it moved across the people everywhere. Reminded me of how H God and the Holy Spirit was moving in Ashbury and across the country. It is good to see Greg's story come forth. The hardships he went through but most of all the millions of salvations that came from it. Uou will cry, laugh and feel it in your heart. I cant wait to go see it again and buy it on DVD. Thank you to the producers and actors. We need more movie like this. The Holy Spirit is moving 🙌 I definitely recommend seeing this movie and taking your grandchildren too.
This movie is a true story about people coming to the Lord in an unusual way. It was very touching, heart warming. It can grab you and you can see yourself in the character. It also kinda of brings the word in the Bible forward. I'd recommend it to anyone especially the younger crowd but all would enjoy it.
Loved it! I want to go see it again. Just to let people know you can still see sermons and interviews on Youtube of Pastor Chuck Smith. I saw an interview with Greg Laurie and Pastor Chuck it was so sweet. It will make you cry and laugh.
It is Beautiful Saw it twice and going back again It is happening now and there is Nothing you can do to stop it
Great movie based on true events. It's great to see how Calvary and Vineyard churches grew out of this movement. Lonnie Frisbee was instrumental in both churches, but his personal story was a struggle.
Great movie telling the dramatized story of what took place. Love the way in which Greg's story gets told too!
I loved it so much. Amazing. God is so good!
God is still moving ! Loved going back to that time, and seeing how everything came together, just Amazing !
Very good movie!! Finally something worth spending money to see at the theater. Can’t wait to buy the blue ray.
Can’t wait to purchase this movie so we can watch it numerous times and show our grandchildren what it was like when we grew up, ! YEA!!!!
Really 3.5 stars for reasons as stated. Otherwise enjoyable but somewhere benign.
We remember those turbulent times very well, we lived through them. This was very accurately portrayed, I loved every moment and will see it again with my grandchildren. It brought smiles, laughter & tears as well as gratefulness for salvation and the Holy Spirit. I highly recommend it. It showed the love of Jesus for unlovely people, which we all are without Him.
Absolutely loved it. A Must See. Highly recommend it. You will not leave the same after watching this movie. We need more faith based movies like this that are inspirational and positive to take our families to.
Excellent movie. Very real! Brought back so many great memories! Awesome to see how God is moving today too!
I loved this movie and it brought back memories of my college days (67-71). Hippies, protests, young people searching for meaning…reviews by movie “critics” denigrating the movie are disingenuous… it was entertaining, inspirational, reflective and hopeful.
I love to see Jesus movies. we need to come back church and get people back to church. Thank God for the producers that took a chance with this movie.
It was just a great movie some funny moments and some sad moments. Would recommend seeing this movie.
Loved it. I saw this movie in my hometown in Lake City fl. I didn't realize that this movement would have such an impact in our Christian lives today and in the generations to come. Praises to the producers and actors for bringing this inspiring movie. I'll see it again if it's still playing when I come to Columbia.
Love it all
FINALLY a movie you can take the whole family to! Heading to watch it again today...our world sooooo needs a Jesus Revolution!
I loved this movie! Excellent story with outstanding acting. Loved the music too.
My wife went to Chuck Smiths tent sermons in 1970’s. I too was and am now a Jesus freak as they call us. In an age with evil everywhere, the movie reminds us the God Has This! The Holy Spirit is moving and evil flees in front of Him. The movie gives Christians hope that those of faith will be pleasantly surprised by the Lords plans. Good timing too. I was at Asbury a few weeks back and felt the Holy Spirit was very strong. To me He feels like vicks vaporub on my chest and head. I felt Him in the theater too. Frankly, Im feeling Him more than ever. Praise Him!
Youth say, "You don't understand me or my generation". It's true, but many of us want to, just like our generation wanted to be loved and understood. This movie helps to bridge the generation gap, because Jesus lives and came to save ALL. Highly recommended. 10 STARS for truth, content and acting!
Good historical facts, good and bad. Loved the movie
A depiction of a historical event that didn't shy away from telling the whole story. Compelling, relatable, beautifully shot and acted. Highly recommend, am telling everyone I know to go watch. I would happily pay the money to see it again in theaters.
The truth of the Jesus people.
Grew up in California. Church-going family. Same issues as youngsters in film. But these kids were fortunate to run into such a pastor/hippie community, and get the faith, too.
I loved the whole movie
We grew up about 1.5 years later than the movie's depiction, however it is very accurate. While we experienced different experiences at Calvary Costa Mesa, God still greatly ministered to us. He is powerful and delivered us!
Love that he decided to tell his story this way! I pray many are saved watching this movie.
Authenticity, true story, leads others to Christ, gives one the desire to be a better Christian.
Acting was excellent. If you like to feel good when leaving a movie, see this one.
Movie was very well done. Acting superb. The story of so many coming to Jesus was inspirational. Jesus and His love was really touching
great characters and depiction of historic events
Loved this movie. Going to see it again!
I walked away encouraged and blessed!
This movie is so good. I had to applaud along with half the theater when the guy got Baptized.
I never understood what was so intriguing about the 60's & 70's, but now I do. Excellent movie!! Well made!!
This is such a great movie! It's sad & happy & funny & tells a true story about flawed people who learn to love & forgive each other like God loves & forgives us. I've seen it 3 times & I enjoyed it best the 3rd time. I cried every time. My favorite line is when Pastor Chucks wife says, "The truth is quiet, the lies are loud." So true. Love wins in the end.. Bring tissues!
Great story; 2 hours flew by. No fancy effects, great music (but not a musical ;). Gives one hope for current and future generations. We need it.
Outstanding! The accuracy, the music, all brought back fond memories. It soooo affected Kelsy Grammer that when he was on Kelly Rippa&Ryan Seacrest's show he came to tears! Actord! came to Jesus and were filled with the Holy Spirit filming the movie! Oh and the CHOSEN's Jesus makes a VERY good hippie!- that was hysterical! Ànd one more fun thing. MATTHEW fron the Chosen plays a snoppet as a tourest on the boarwalk when they're handing out tracks!
fantastic!!
