A creative and artistic movie. The violence and sexual nature reflect the theme of the movie, hence the title, Sin City. A great movie overall - very new ideas in term of the picture and story line. It proves that even in sex and violence, there can be art.

Very creative. 5 out of 5 no question. This movie should be a wake up to hollywood. The guys love it, the girlfriends hate it. Brilliant Film. Amazing acting, camera work, ladies, violence, and more ladies. Do i need to say more?

This movie was pretty neat. It had a "Dick Tracy"ish feel to it because of the way it was made (black and white with dashes of colour here and there). It has a lot of action (not to mention gore - very graphic). If you`re a fan of Mickey Rourke especially you`ll want to see it. I watch a lot of movies so I`m not easily impressed but this movie was OK in my book - go see it!

You want Grit? You want it like the comic book? As long as you aren`t after the light hearted shallow tripe you normally see in the movies, you`ll love this movie.

very nicely done. stories all tie together. sure the plot is simple, if you want sophisticated, maybe look at the type of movie before watching. just a little suggestion. Rourke was awesome, role was perfect for him. Time flew by watching this reel. 5 out of 5

I am becoming increasingly disturbed by the mating of sex with violence and this is the next step in the union. It is well done and has a flavour all of its own, but I cant help thinking it is not a flavour that is particularily good for people or society as a whole. I am far from a prude, but I find there to be something very uneasy about this latest show that undoubtedly will be lapped up and copied by the new age teens.

Unfortunately, due to the timing of the release, I think the movie`s art direction and cinematography will be likely ignored come next year`s Oscar voting. That is a shame, because I think it has taken a lot of ideas that may have appeared onscreen separately, and less successfully in other films, and has created a seamless and belivable movie envioronment. I felt I had been transported into the graphic novel. I don`t really understand the complaints about violence, etc. - directors Rodriguez and Tarantino aren`t exactly known for their warm and fuzzy films. hollywood has been drastically trying to convert comic book stories into motion pictures. it`s great to see filmmakers doing the opposite, making motion pictures look and feel like a comic book. Dick Tracy tried it, but this is a great leap and a stunning effort that is well worth it.

Sin City is a movie with a message. The message being, it doesn`t matter how many celebrities there are in a big budget film, the film can still suck sumthin awful. Well...I got the message. I got the message loud and clear. While Tarentino`s influence in the film is obvious, the mixture of both Tarentino and Rodriguez is just painful. While The over-acting in Kill Bill Vol. 1 and 2 was artistic, the over-acting in Sin City is irritating and just ruins the intensity. Now if you will excuse me, I have to go repress the intellectually damgaging memory that is Sin City.

While watching this movie I nearly had to go to the bathroom to throw up from the amount of blood and killing. Do not watch this movie after having a meal! If I did throw up it would have been a better movie than this one!

Yes, I got it. The director has proven a point. It does not matter how many big name celebs you have in your film it can still be crap. Point taken. You can see the Tarentino touch, but lets face it, we can all make mistakes.

This film is a living breathing piece of art. Quite possibly the most imaginative and entertaining comic-book based films ever, plus, the best crime drama since forever. Standout performances all around, and special props go to the uber-talented and often overlooked Robert Rodriguez for bringing this film to life, and the genius Frank Miller for creating it in the first place. Not for everyone (raging feminists, hyper senisitve geeks) but a GREAT film that`s now set a standard. instant classic might be a bit generous, but who am I kidding, this is what SIN CITY is. Sin city is the worst movie ever i am surprised at bruce willis i took my kids to see it and they were disgusted at the graphics and plot the sex scenes were way out of line in this movie

Absolutely brilliant. This is the most exciting, inspiring and vivid film released in years. Frank Miller is both disturbed and a genius. This film may be too violent for everyone to enjoy, but for those with a strong enough stomach, it will define excellence in cinema. It is nothing but perfect.

Amazing Movie...Just Simply Amazing. 30 Minutes Into The Movie I Was Paying The Price From Drinking An Extra Large Iced Tea...And This Movie Was So Good That I Held It Through For Another Hour And A Half. I Might`ve Damaged My Bladder In The Process But This Movie Was Worth It. Best Comic-To-Movie Film I`ve Ever Seen. It Was Almost Like Having A Comic Book...Come To Life Exactly As You See It In The Pages...Just Amazing. And The Characters Were All Unique And Very Likable. Wow!...i was honestly exited and hiped to see this movie,but i was exepecting some thing better and diffrent,the cinematography is just stunning and amazing but the plot wasnt...if u like senseless killing and lots of gore in a ¨KILL BILL¨ sort of way then go see it... 3/5 stars

Wow!! I haven`t even seen it. The one thing I really admire is the other viewer`s comments. I mean this is the first time I`ve read submissions on tribute and have seen 9 out of 10 of them being raving reviews. Quite astounding. Can`t wait for it to come out in Korea. I have to wait until May, 22nd though. That`s the only set back.

Wow! what an amazing ... masterpiece! This movie is a full-on classic that will be remembered for years to come. The directing and cinematography is AMAZING!.. the storyline is just crazy! the plot twists, how the stories come together, is incredible. This is a must see! Believe me, it`s worth the money!
