With all the war movies that have come out in the last year, I couldn't help but sigh and think "Another one??". However, this turned out to be a deeply moving film, with strong performances from Tatum and Philippe. The fact that the elements described in the movie are actually happening in the American army today makes it even more disturbing, and makes *me* a little more anti-war.
I suggest that you DON'T watch this movie if you're only in it for Channing or Ryan. There is more behind it and it just shows how the war is breaking people. The movie did an excellent job of portraying life after war.
it was 2 long
I think the movie was great. I really enjoyed it. It is dramatic and opens up person's eyes on the realities of war. If you don't like movies that make you think, don't even bother seeing it. I give it 5/5!!
Mehhh, i was looking forward to this movie but it didnt get that, bang! i was looking for..
pretty slow moving at time and felt a bit to over dramatic as they tried to hard with theyre complex emotions...could of been alot better but overall 3/5
