  • In a time when most movies are mindless entertainment or propaganda to make us think war is great, it`s nice to see a movie that talks about environmentalism and conscience. As we watch Southern Vancouver Island be paved over and become like Vancouver, we might want to consider the themes of this movie.
  • Very interesting and engaging film. DDL wonderful as always, and excellent casting otherwise. Thoughtful, dealing with difficult subjects. A movie to see if you want to see people working out complex issues of life (though this particular scenario is highly unusual...but then the film is about a person who explicitly did not want to be usual,)
  • Camilla Belle is a real find -- what a beauty and a terrific actress too! Really held her own against Daniel Day-Lewis, who is top-notch as usual.
