having never read the book i had no idea what i was in for. it gave me mixed emotions. was sitting on the edge of my seat at times, laughing at other times and tearing up for others. very good movie!

great movie, i was unfamiliar with the books and the story when i was invited to go see it. it is an incredible story and i encourage everyone to see it.

the hunger games was a decent action flick, it's always nice to see a female being a true woman/girl. however, i felt that the movie was rushed to encompass as much as possible and often spent too much time focusing on making sure the audience understood what they were seeing - there was no need for the constant repetition in my opinion.

one of the worst movies i've seen. first off, it's incredibly disturbing that someone would make a movie/book that revolves around "kids" killing other "kids" for sport/spectacle. and the scary part is how popular it is? i don't get it? i also don't get (in the movie) how anyone in there right mind would allow their kid/s to participate in such a killing spectacle. it would never happen. parents would do anything to protect their kid/s. the only way this would even be feasible. is if the parents and kids were segregated (concentration camps). but that's not the case. anyways, the movie was horrible and doesn't deserve any positive recognition.

very powerful movie and lots of action. not suitable for young children but perfect for the preteen and teen as well as adult. some very sympathetic characters and a good story.

wow, i wasnt sure what to expect, but i was captivated every moment. the thought of what was going on was horrifying but the storyline was well played. i especially like that the way it ended was satisfying, like you were happy with that ending, but it left it open enough that there could be so much more made of it. very well put together. i didnt really like the actor she had to pretend to love or the one she did love. they were harder to believe for their parts. different actors wouldve been better.

the movie was good overall, but the one thing that bothered me was the romance, it was quite contrived and came out of nowhere, at least for katniss. if they had spent more time on their relationship, the movie would have been 5 stars. i would highly recommend it.

the movie was amazing, i want out and bought the series and read all 3 in a day. i was a bit hesitant at first because movies never seem to captivate my attention like the books do, but i was more than happy with this movie and can not wait for it to cone out on dvd and the series to continue!

this movie had great entertainment value. the actors in it held their own. the book, however, was much better. i am still looking forward to the next movie though! i loved jennifer lawrence as katniss. she was amazing and they could not have cast her character so well!

a movie the whole family can enjoy with lots to talk about after, horrible enough situation these kids find themselves in , and then the battle of good over evil... sad, disturbing but yet a very enjoyable movie....
