This movies completely took my breath away! Colin Firth as King George VI was just spectacular! He really knows how to act! Geoffrey Rush was also incredible as Dr. Logue! this movie made the King look like every other fathers out there and represents people who have a handicap showing that you cannot let something like that stop you! Caring and loving that he demonstrates affection to his family; a rarity in royal fams. The added history in the movie makes me want to study British History. I've always loved the monarchy and i still do! I am proud to be part of Britain as a Canadian! Long live the Queen! They're doing a great job!

I really enjoy Colin Firth but he pulled off an Oscar-worthy portrayal of King George when he did this role. It was very believeable and realistic and i thoroughly got lost in the story of Queen Elizabeth's dad!

I believe that Colin Firth deserves an Oscar for this performance, his intensity is perfectly suited to playing the King. Geoffrey Rush and Helena Bonham Carter are also magnificent in this movie, great story.

Excellent movie which was based on fact. Edward was a painfully shy man who had a very difficult childhood. He overcame his difficulties and became a brillant king who actually remained in London during the war and became a symbol to the British people. His wife was later known as the Queen Mom who worked with princess Diane prior to her marriage to Charles. Although all this was not protrayed in the movie, the movie gives us information of earlier times, the people who lived then and their part in our history.

great all around movie.....real tear jerker because of the ordeal Bertie went thru growing up. It makes you understand public lives better and royals as to what is expected of them in life. Colin and Geoffrey brought these 2 characters so to life for me. deserves every oscar nom and hope it gets them all.

This movie was one of the best, well acted movies I have seen in a long time. As a lover of the Royal family and Colin Firth, I never expected any thing less but great acting from him. The movie was witty, charming and a wonderful lesson in history we should all enjoy. I loved it. Well done Colin and Geoffry.

This is an excellent movie to see, my daughter came with me and she also thoroughly enjoyed it. I would go again to see this movie. Can't wait until it comes out on dvd.

The King's Speech is one of the best movies I have ever seen.Colin Firth and Geoffrey Rush were spectacular in portraying their characters.If just goes to show you do not have to have incredible scenery or major action scenes when you have gifted actors who can drawn the audience into the wonderful story they told. A must to see!

Amazing acting, Colin Firth portrayal so such that you could see the frustration and anger on face and in the body language when his charactor's was unable to overcome his stutter when it was most important. As well Mr. Firth's stutter was so perfectly beleivable and seemed as though it was natural for him to speach that way.

Went to see the King's Speech tonight ...great to get out...and it had to be one of the best movies I have ever seen. The audience was clapping at the end of it. It's been out for 3 weeks and the place was packed ! The audience was clapping after the movie was done (including myself) ! Great movie...Helen Bonham Carter; Jeffrey Rush and Colin Firth should win for Best Everything at the Oscars ! If you haven't seen it you really should.

Best acting I have seen this year in a film. Both Firth and Rush are superb! The true story of King George VI is excellent as well. Although most of the audience that was in the theatre the two times I saw this film was probably born when he was King, I am sure that younger audiences would enjoy it as well.

Outstanding job done by the actors. The movie is a wonderful tribute to King George and the Queen Mother. Bless them all. Well written and performed and by far the best film about King George's stutter as he tries to rid himself of it. I recommend this movie 100% and should get the oscar for sure

It is good movie; interesting to watch the struggle and sucess of "the King" life. Love the acting esp. by Colin Firth, G. Rush and Helena Bonham. I hope that they get the Oscar. "Enriching" movie!
