Lame. People get kindness after watching this movie? lol Give me a break.
Heartwarming! Feel good modern American film! Wonder touched on real Issues with sympathetic human characters dealing with going off to school for the first time , getting along with others, parenting, growing up, taking risks, family life, first love, friendship, conflict All in Compassionate animated kind and at times humorous ways! I thought it was very balanced w opportunities to laugh and cry; There were even a few special effects woven in that take you by surprise! Not one actor who stood out that I did not enjoy! Great cast; love OW and JR who blended beautifully together As parents and w the lead boy character and his sister! It was also Fun to visit various NYC locations! Overall a really sweet, heart centered feel good film!
Average fare. Trembay is very good. Execution came up short. The comments here are amusing. Defenders of this movie are saying how we must care for each other, then spout the most hateful vitriol at those who didn't like the movie! Ha!
It is a beautiful movie with feelings and a focus on values. Some of us want to see movies without guns, violence, vulgarity, and foul language. If you knew what this movie was about why do you go see it and give it a low rating! We can do without your stupid comments! If more people would see these type of movies the world wouldn't have so many problems.
This movie was very inspirational , and I felt the feels throughout the whole movie . I highly recommend it and it be perfect for the kids to see to learn about the effects on bullying other kids . Number one rule always be kind
Wonderful story....Well done!
great movie, so glad a brought a lot of Kleenex. the person that wrote the review, it needs more violence and bad language, what's with you anyway. the people that did not like the movie, you have your opinion, but come on do you guys have a heart. you must be young people. no clue.
Pure syrup. Pure garbage.
Very good movie in every aspect. The essence of American humanity today, and you should remember this as you watch the news and in your daily life. A fine movie for all ages, especially for the holidays.
Enjoyable movie, if you have a good heart.
The film is touching and brilliant!! 99/100 One-star raters, go back to Thor Ragnarok!!...guru bob
It was a good movie, great story. My husband and I enjoyed it very much!
I just see the commercial on TV and it looks amazing, funny and sad at times, just going by the commercial.
Sappy, baldly manipulative and hampered by some truly bad performances.
Best movie in a really long time for families! All kids should see this for sure. Great story and lesson for all ages about our differences and how to treat people. We need more like this!
Heartwarming, I cried through the whole thing.
I'm a grown man and I teared up at least 20 times during this movie. If this movie doesn't win a bucket load of awards then Hollywood is truly lost.
I loved the acting and they seemed like a real family. I wish everyone would learn from it and stop bullying kids....It is so bad for children to go through that.
It needed more violence and cursing.
Very good family movie for all ages. Bring the kids..its a good learning message they should see. Didn't know it was a true story..I told my grand-daughter I saw it and she is only 10 and said she read the book in school last year. Wish I brought her. Great acting! I wish there were more movies like this one without all the violence and cursing.
Predictable movie. How many times they are going to make this type of movies? The problem were the actors they chose for this movie. Terrible acting.
Very good Movie and Great Message. Every older kid and Adult Should See this Movie. The Cinema was Almost Sold out when I saw this and the Audience Clapped at the End. I Loved the Asternot Helment.
I wonder how this terrible schmaltz got green-lit.
Really a fantastic movie for all ages. They handed out kleenex on opening night! But it wasn't a sad movie, very uplifting actually. Poignant. Fabulous performances, fabulous lessons, great for kids to watch and see how to overcome being bullied.
I loved this movie! Great acting and a great message for all . Bring your tissues .
Every child and parents should see this movie. I loved it!
Every family with school aged children should see this movie WITH their kids.
predictable; its the same plot that has been done so many times before.
Maudlin, syrupy film, the kind that used to be regulated to made-for-tv movies. Predictable and baldly manipulative. Child actor Trembay is fine, but Julia Roberts is bad as usual (she is simply incapable of projecting warmth or authenticity convincingly.) Owen Wilson barely registers at all. Skip it.
Heartwarming, sad, funny and uplifting. A truly pleasant movie. Loved it. Even my husband loved it and that's rare!
One of us!...One of us!...
Phenomenal film.
This movie was a role model for younger children

Wonderful movie! About kindness, acceptance, and understanding
Freaky
“Wonder” is a film based on the novel by R.J Palacio. Although not a true story, it is inspired by real events and experiences. It is a tale of a young boy’s struggle with being born with a genetic facial deformity. Despite over 27 surgeries, August (Auggie) Pullman’s face remained deformed and scarred. His dedicated, loving family sheltered and home-schooled him. Just before the 5th grade, Auggie is gently coaxed into entering the school system. This is the first time Auggie is away from his family, and he has to learn how to make friends and fend for himself. The story is told from many different perspectives: all young people in Auggie’s life. All the children do a great job acting, especially Jacob Tremblay. The weakest links in this film were Julia Roberts and Owen Wilson. Both over-acted and, in my opinion, this detracted from the film. I don’t feel like these two big-name actors were required. Also unnecessary were the slick Hollywood-style “year end” school trip scenes. The film was strong enough without the schmaltzy music and fireworks. Although heart-warming and inspiring, this film is rather predictable.
THIS IS THE BEST MOVIE EVER I CRIED WHEN I WATCH IT!
Wonderful movie, fantastic acting and I like that it gives the story of some of the characters surrounding Auggie, to show that no one has an easy life, we all have our difficulties and troubles.
