'If Beale Street Could Talk' Trailer

In the trailer for If Beale Street Could Talk, Fonny (Stephan James) tells his fiancée Tish (Kiki Layne) that he’s hers and she’s his. When Fonny suddenly ends up in prison for a crime he didn’t commit, Tish finds out she’s pregnant with his baby. She reveals the news to her family but not everyone is supportive, particularly not her mother. We see images of Tish and Fonny’s passionate relationship and his wrongful imprisonment that now separates them. The trailer ends with Fonny telling Tish he’ll “be home soon.”
