Jennifer Lopez confirms American Idol exit

By Tribute on July 13, 2012 | 3 Comments

Jennifer Lopez‘s exit from American Idol has been floating around the rumor mill for a while, but it has finally been confirmed by JLo herself on Idol host Ryan Seacrest‘s radio show. “I honestly feel like the time has come that I have to get back to doing the other things that I do,” said Lopez. “Something has to give.” Following Steven Tyler‘s announcement yesterday that he will be leaving the show, Idol will yet again have to reinvent itself behind the judges table. Season 12 of the show could end up bringing a whole new set of faces to Idol‘s judging panel because recently, it has been said that judge Randy Jackson, who has been on the panel since the show started, will also be leaving. Stars such as past Idol runner-up Adam Lambert, singer Mariah Carey and pop idol Katy Perry have all been suggested as possible replacements. ~Morgan Bates

Well, bye bye J-Lo. Your the reason I stopped watching Idol so maybe Ill start again when there are new people. Have fun making your car commercials and autotuning your voice 😛

I defenitly think that Adam should be a judge. He has been where the other contenders have been and it would be awesome to see someone who is a past contender and someone should have won (and is doing better than the person who did win 🙂 ) be a judge. Not Miley Cyrus (who is rumored to be the top of the producers wish list >P ) or Katy Perry. I think that out of everyone they are considering, the 3 judges (id Randy leaves) should be Adam, Cheryl Cole (cause she is awesome and she deserved to be a judge on X factor more than Nicole) and some other guy that is more L.A Reid and less….well Randy 😛 Good luck to them all and maybe, if they pick good judges, I will watch

I might watch it again if they get good judges and by that, I mean people behind the scenes of the record industry, not performers.
