Kristen Stewart under police guard after shooting in London

Kristen Stewart, who’s currently in London shooting Snow White and the Huntsman, and her co-star, Chris Hemsworth, are being guarded by six police officers as the rioting and looting continue in the British city. Production on the film has been halted for safety purposes and the actors have been moved to rural areas, away from the violence. Their co-star, Charlize Theron, who plays the Evil Queen, has not yet arrived in England. A BBC-TV production of Sherlock Holmes, starring Mark Gatiss and Martin Freeman, also had to stop shooting. Gatiss tweeted: “This is a new one on me. Scene incomplete owing to approaching looters. Unbelievable times.”

Cities in the UK are a scary place to be right now. It’s a disgraceful display of human behaviour.

how does this actress keep getting work???

Technically, the Sherlock Holmes production stars Benedict Cumberbatch (Holmes) and Martin Freeman (Watson), and Mark Gatiss is one of the writers/producers (and plays Mycroft), along with Steven Moffat (Coupling UK, Doctor Who).

what is really disgraceful is how much we are willing to pay actors for their work, while the world economy is going downhill and starving is common. to put things in perpecctive, a cancer researcher and other people making significant contirbuttion to the human race will never see in thier life time amount of money made by an actor in one movie. SHAME on us for allowing this vanity condition…lets spend $18 on the next movie night out…

    >>>> what is really disgraceful is how much we are willing to pay actors for their work <<<
But Av…aside from what actors get paid….look what each player gets….baseball, basketball, hockey, football, golf, any sport or athletic event…. these people are waaaay overpaid, it's supposed to be a GAME for crying out loud. Once it became big public entertainment, their pay went over the roof, not just disgraceful, but ridiculous. They make more than actors. So why does everybody just complain about how much the actors make?

Lol actors make way more than sports players… Like for example charlie sheen was making 1.8 million per episode of two and a half men before he got fired and there’s 20 episodes per season plus any movies or cameos on the side. Players only make tons of money if they are the star of the team

We, the public keep paying the gate…Concerts, movie, video rentals….we keep providing the funds for their paycheques.

I was at the theater the other day the guy in change up is getting paid fifteen million for starring in that role like wow.

Wow, She looks mighty short in this picture. Looks like she can smell everyone`s armpit. Kristen, put some heels on next time you pose with them.

  13. Tayderhead • August 12, 2011 @ 10:23 PM

What’s wrong with being short? The one who looks unnatural is the one standing in the stiletto’s.

maybe Britian watched the Vancouver Canucks lose – and the ppl of Van trash their own city…….and got the idea to do it to their own??

  15. Me • August 12, 2011 @ 10:24 PM

in real life Kirsten is super small. Short and very tiny (I was an extra in New Moon). Leave her alone……..omg!

  16. Phil • August 13, 2011 @ 7:30 PM

@ Monique…get your facts straight before you shoot off your mouth. we had over 200,000 people downtown in vancouver. only about 200 or so asshats were involved in the rioting….and fact: only star actors get paid the “big bucks” unlike athletes (most players get at least 1/2 mill to play). most actors and musicians struggle to pay the bills just like everyone else. people should do their homework before spouting off here.

Before people complain about how much actors or those who play professional sports earn, just take a look at how much the movie and sport companies or owners make! The career of an actor or athlete can be short lived due to various reasons including injuries. Is it ok for company owners to make millions or billions of dollars but not for actors or athletes? It’s just like complaining about some person making a lot of money for working at some career but not complaining about banks or other companies making a ton of money a year in profits and then paying top executives and share holders big bucks! I would say to anyone: Have your piece of the pie too! Why should companies get all of the money?

I can’t believe people why so much violence? People die because of other people more than natural causes and thats disturbing to know. What our society has come to is disgusting we are all the same we all bleed the same color blood even if we look different on the outside i think if we all got along this world would be a much better place Man created weapons bombs etc. we are going to be the cause for the world ending we are the cause that all these disasters and floods are happening with all the materialistic things that apparently people can’t live without are distroying our atmosphere so don’t cry when the world is about to end we only have ourselves to blame but then again there will probably be a world wide riot when we get the announcement that armageddon is coming

  19. Kathleen • August 20, 2011 @ 9:07 PM

@Tammy: I wouldn’t go prophesizing Your beliefs over the Internet like that—some people may think you’re a “nut”. Also, I agree with Phil, and a couple of others; WE must not think only along the lines that Actors, and Athletes get way too much $$, because they have Sponsors that promote them, ie:Nike, L’Oreal, etc.–they just have to do their commercials, and they make even more money! The rather large franchises that they choose to promote, and Interviews on T.V., all add up to what they take home, NOT just what they earn for their Movie(s) and/or Sports (Games)! However, they probably pay their agents a nice fee too! So, Yes in one way the Movie Studios are making a mint (we do pay TOO much for going to see a movie these days), and it’s very costly to get a good seat at a Sports event, or a Concert—but, we have to think of the whole package…what it takes for that particular event to be “put on”, so to speak. Everyone behind the Scenes have to be paid! It is very lucrative for a band like ‘U2’ to put on a show, etc. etc. And, to make 1 movie these days is well over the top! Just an observation!
