The Avengers are back in the long-awaited sequel to Marvel’s biggest franchise hit, Avengers: Age of Ultron. Marvel has released a new, special look, originally screened for fans at San Diego Comic-Con, showing the team in uncharted territory – relaxing on the couch with Chinese food and a few beers. Tony Stark (a.k.a. Iron Man) decides to take on the challenge of lifting Thor’s hammer with his buddy Rhodey (a.k.a. Iron Patriot), to no success, followed by a valiant effort by Steve Rogers (a.k.a. Captain America). When Thor jokes that none of them are worthy, the party is interrupted by the film’s villain, Ultron (played by James Spader), who agrees, calling the heroes “puppets on strings,” setting up the already released teaser trailer for the film.
Marvel recently announced plans for Phase 3 of the Avengers franchise, with President Kevin Feige hinting that the team will not be the same by the end of Age of Ultron. Could this villain be too much for the Avengers to handle?
