Rebel Wilson joins the army in her new movie

Pitch Perfect star Rebel Wilson has signed on for the remake of the comedy Private Benjamin. Private Benjamin is about Judy Benjamin, who joins the army after the death of her husband. The original film starred Goldie Hawn and was released in 1980. The remake finds a rich city socialite and a redneck (played by Rebel) joining the army to escape what’s happening in their lives. The film will be released by New Line, but still has no director attached to the project. Anna Farris was also rumored to be signed on but that has yet to be confirmed. Rebel will be working hard until the film comes out – she’ll first play roles in Pitch Perfect 2 and Kung Fu Panda 3. She also stars on the TV show Super Fun Night. ~Dylan Paisley
