Liam Aiken Bio: Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events Actor

Date of Birth: January 7, 1990

At the age of seven, Liam Aiken made his Broadway debut in the Tony award-winning revival of Ibsen’s A Doll’s House (1997). By then, he had already appeared in television commercials and had made his film debut playing Parker Posey’s son in the indie feature Henry Fool (1997), which won Best Screenplay at the Cannes Film Festival. In 1998, he appeared in no less than three feature films——Montana starring Kyra Sedgwick, The Object of My Affection starring Jennifer Aniston, and Stepmom, in which Aiken played the son of Susan Sarandon, with Julia Roberts playing his stepmother. For his role in the latter, he won a Young Artist Award for “Best Performance in a Feature Film - Young Actor Age Ten or Under.”

Next up for Liam were roles in I Dreamed of Africa (2000) with Kim Basinger, Sweet November (2001) with Keanu Reeves and Road to Perdition (2002), playing Tom Hanks’ youngest son. In Good Boy! (2003), Aiken landed the starring role (opposite a dog featuring the voice of Matthew Broderick). Next up for the young actor is playing Klaus, one of three orphans taken in by a creepy distant relative in Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events (2004), based on the popular series of books for children.

Liam, an only child, lives in New Jersey with his mother.
