I was one of those that did not see the original Tron, so I went to watch this movie with no expectations after Christmas. All three of us thoroughly enjoyed it. Entertaining, beautifully filmed, fantatic soundtrack by Daft Punk.

I dragged my whole family to see Tron:Legacy - despite their vocal protests that they had heard bad things about it. The film was much more entertaining and beautiful than I had expected. Yes, some of the acting is terrible, and I believe that you will likely have to have some appreciation for camp if you're going to like this one. But the score by Daft Punk alone was very beautiful, serving to enhance the stunning 3D visuals. Fortunately for me, all of my family members at the viewing agreed with me completely by the time the lights went back up!

I thought this movie was great. Having been a huge fan of the original I think it had a decent flow into the current story. Special effects were great.

Sure, this film was visually beautiful, but it lacked everything that made the original so fantastic. It wasn't just the light cycles that made the original so cool-- it was that it personified parts of the still new computer, making it more approachable and understandable: Like Bit, who could only answer yes or no. I looked forward to Tron because I felt the metaphor could only expand with the expansion of computers into every corner of our lives. Instead, the film seemed to forget the metaphor entirely, only calling the characters programs by habit, but not really knowing what that means. As the first Tron Movie made magic with computer imagery. Tron Legacy did live up to the hype with extremely complicated digital graphics. Although , the script writing should have been in the foreground and not stepping back to let the computer take over as the screen- writer.

I really enjoyed this movie! I loved that the originals were in it as that makes or breaks a sequel for me. It was a little star wars esc. at times and very worth the watch in 3D at the theaters.

I used to play Tron on Atari so I decided to go see the movie. It was a little hard to follow in places and I really wish there was more 3D as most of the movie was in 2D.

this movie was incredibly aesthetically pleasing, in addition to having an amazing soundtrack featuring French electronica legends Daft Punk, a stellar cast and special effects. Being an 80s baby, I've been a fan of Tron since the first movie, and felt the second one transitioned the story into modern times quite well. However, the computer animation of a young Jeff Bridges was not up to par to many of today's movies, as you could clearly tell the difference between the human cast and the computerized character, and was slightly distracting. Very good movie; however, it's not worth it to watch in 3-D - there isn't very many scenes where the effect comes into play, and the glasses end up only making the screen darker.

Being a child of the 80's and seeing the original Tron, I thought this might not live up it. Was I wrong! Not only was it fantastic, but this was my first time ever watching a movie in 3D. ( Loser I know ) Visually Awesome, well written as well as acted and I loved the soundtrack!! I really enjoyed it, and recommended to everyone I knew. :)

Tron the Legacy. It's the same story as the first Tron with a twist, like in superman his son comes to the rescue. But in the end could only save him self. The games are the updated version of the first Tron AWESOME. The 3D glasses dimmed the effects and ruined the movie. Philip Yhap

Tron is a visually incredible piece of work. The acting is solid, the story is secondary in many aspects but I was ok with that. The movie is almost an art project, Daft Punks INCREDIBLE score and the look of the movie are more than enough of a reason to see the movie. Garrett Hedlund, Olivia Wilde and of course the great Jeff Bridges are a good reason too. PS look out and see if you can spot Cillian Murphy :)

Weak story with characters you really don't care about. Basic "hero" achetype without any build up. Jeff Bridges as "The Dude/Obi wan Kenobi" was embarassing. I was just sad to see what a debacle they made of a potentially excellent franchise. Definitely a pass.

TRON was a great movie. The special effects were extremely well done and it held your interest for the entire time you watched. The lack of 3D was also an added bonus. I highly recommend TRON to anyone and everyone.

I enjoyed this movie, it was entertaining enough to make it worth the price of admission. The 3D was quite well done. It wasn't as "in your face" as other 3D movies, but rather more subtle and it sort of blended in with the movie world, and worked well in the setting. Overall the effects were great, and the overall experience was solid. that said, the story was quite weak and generic. It's Tron, so you don't expect anything deep... but in this day and age I did expect a little more "meat" to the story and characters. There are also a number of plot points that leave the viewer thinking "that makes no sense"... but again, it's Tron... so generally I can forgive that. Overall,

Story line was weak, 3D was barely there, definitely not worth the extra money. Not worth the 2 hours. Don't waste your time and money. I'm not sure how this movie got such good ratings. Maybe if they hadn't put all their effort in the special effects they would have been able to come up with a half decent storyline.
