Gerard Butler and more on the TIFF 2011 red carpet tonight!

Gerard Butler is just one of the many stars walking the red carpet for the screenings of their films tonight. He stars in the inspirational drama Machine Gun Preacher, about a former drug dealer who turns his life around and helps Sudanese children. Co-star Michelle Monaghan will join him for the world premiere gala screening of their film at 6:30 at Roy Thomson Hall. Yesterday, after arriving in Toronto, Gerard attended the Creative Coalition's 2011 Spotlight Initiative Awards (as pictured at left). The second gala screening of the evening at Roy Thomson is Albert Nobbs at 9:30 pm. Set in 19th century England, it stars Glenn Close (who will be at the screening) in a gender-bending role as a woman who has posed as a male butler for many years. Over at the Winter Garden Theatre, Ethan Hawke will appear in support of the world premiere of his new thriller, Woman in the Fifth, while Rachel Weisz and Tom Hiddleston will walk the red carpet at TIFF Bell Lightbox for the world premiere of The Deep Blue Sea. Finally, at the Princess of Wales Theatre, Antonio Banderas will be on hand to support the North American premiere of Pedro Almodovar's The Skin I Live In.
