21 posterThe new gambling movie 21 broke the box office, raking in $23.7 million (all figures US) on the weekend. The animated film Dr. Seuss’ Horton Hears a Who dropped to second with an additional 17.4 million for a total of $117 million. Superhero Movie debuted in third place, earning $9.51 million. Tyler Perry’s Meet the Browns opened in fourth, grossing $7.76 million. Rounding out the top five was Drillbit Taylor, starring Owen Wilson, with $5.8 million for a two-week total of $20.6 million.
