Angelina Jolie’s unusual gift for Brad Pitt

By Tribute on January 4, 2012 | 9 Comments

Nothing is too much for Angelina Jolie when it comes to her longtime love, Brad Pitt. The Moneyball actor turned 48 this past December and as a combined Christmas and birthday present, Jolie bought him a waterfall in rural California. The idea for the gift came when five years ago, they visited esteemed architect Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater estate, a balconied structure built above a waterfall in Pennsylvania. Pitt instantly fell in love with the idea so Jolie got him his own waterfall in hopes that one day he’d be able to build a home similar to Wright’s creation. “Brad has dreamed of a home with the sound of a waterfall cascading under the house. He wants to pull all aspects of nature, light, glass and varying levels into the concept,” a source tells The Daily Mail. “Angelina wanted to get him something incredibly special and, because she knows how much he loves architecture, she thought this would be perfect.” If Pitt does end up building on his new land, he would need to go big. The pair already have six children together and the actress has mentioned in the past that she still wouldn’t be opposed to adding to the bunch.

Awww must be nice to be able to do anything because you have the money to. I have to go now, trying to decide weather or not I’m going to pay my full electrical bill or if I will keep some money to feed my kids. I know I’m just jealous but comon…a F*cking waterfall? Most of the world is falling into poverty… This isn’t news this is torture. lol

Lol stop whining your next life you might be rich 🙂 let’s hope you are good people like them and not the spoiled and careless rich people

This confirms my suspicions. The pair are a pair of aliens using a waterfall as a cover for an undercover top secret base where they adopt and raise children to take over the world!

    very funny ‘The Truth’…
Yep the rich get to buy waterfalls. I get hugs. Where’s the justice in that? At elast it’s keeping the waterfall selling industry aive and thriving.

Think about how much good she could’ve done with that money if she’d given it to charity. If they were so altruistic, they wouldn’t spend extravagant amounts of money on material things for themselves.

They seem to spend so much money they might end up bankrupt like Nicholas Cage.

The idea of the waterall cascading under the house sounds cool at first but you can never shut it off. Plus you would have fish jumping into your house and lost kayakers…

It sounds both romantic and pathetic at the same time.

I think the thing that bothers me the most about celebrities with this much money is that “we the people” gave it to them by going to their movies, etc. So I guess I do believe Celebs need to give back once in a while because they wouldn’t be where they are without us.

Really, how jealous can you get, they give lots back and especially their time…. I also I find it’s a lovely gesture to give him something he loves. And who cares how much money they spend? They worked for it and it’s nobody’s business what they do with it.
