Brad Pitt and Angelina JolieBrad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have donated $1 million to Iraqi and U.S. charities through their Jolie-Pitt Foundation. The money will be divided between four organizations that provide education and support to children affected by the war. In the States, the cash will go to the Armed Services YMCA Operation Hero Program. Admiral Frank Gallo, director of the Armed Services YMCA, said: “The contribution from the Jolie-Pitt Foundation is a major boost to our efforts to serve the children of our brave members of the United States Armed Services who are engaged in our current conflict. These new funds will mean that 2,500 children, who were previously unable to attend Operation Hero, can now take part and get the educational support and counseling that they need and deserve.” In Iraq, the money will be split between three organizations that help Iraqi women children, including providing school supplies and learning materials for more than 2,000 Iraqi children.

They are a very admirable couple, they really seem to have it all together. They actually seem like quite a solid couple too, I hope this is a long term situation for them and for everyone benefiting from their generosity.
