Twilight vampire recast in third movie

Left: Bryce Dallas Howard Right: Rachelle LefevreBryce Dallas Howard, 28, (The Village) will be taking over the role of Victoria, a vampire who wants to get even with Bella, in the third Twilight movie, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. She’ll be replacing Canadian actress Rachelle Lefevre, 30, who played the role in the first and second films. “Rachelle brought Victoria to great screen life, and Bryce will bring a new dimension to the character,” says Erik Feig, president of worldwide production and acquisitions for Summit Entertainment. “The franchise is lucky to have such a talented actress as Bryce coming in to fill the role.” Howard is the daughter of famed director Ron Howard. According to Summit, Lefevre is leaving the series because of scheduling conflicts. She’s signed to appear opposite Dustin Hoffman in Barney’s Version, which begins filming in Quebec at the same time Eclipse shoots in British Columbia.

I think she will do a good job. She is a very good actress and I look forward to seeing the completed movie.

Huh…I would never have considered Bryce for the role…but I think she might actually pull it off quite nicely =)

Not sure if I like this or not? I liked her in the village, but not in spiderman. She seems too nice. can she play a meanie?

Well i gues it’s about time some one gives her a chance to play a meainer!

Not familiar with her and I hope she does well. I really don’t like when they switch actors through anykind of series, but I guess it is necessary sometimes.

Poor judgment on Summits behalf! Sad to think they would replace someone so fast. Not to disrespect Bryce but Rachelle made the role and is the only Victoria necessary.

rachelle we will miss you we are hoping that you would finished the third installment of the twilight franchise you will always be victoria to us. I don’t think that bryce would be a good portraying victoria but we will see anyway she dead in the third book anyway we will miss you rachelle as victoria

bryce howard is a horrible choice. there must be something more going on here other than ‘schedule conflicts’ — rachel would only be gone 10 days out of the three month shoot. i’m sure they could have worked around her 10-day absence.

Not all movies can rotate around the scedule of on actress, if they already have dead lines to meet and specific times that a sceane has to be filmed by so they ca move on. 10 days is a lot of time to be away from the movie set you are working on, exspecially when you have a bigger part in it.

That’s smell a frame up. Rachelle was as surprise as us about this. She talked a lot about that lately and did not have conflict. Ron Howard…. little daddy’s girl… casting… for me, 1+1=2. Just saying. Why a canadian actress will leave a successfull series when her caracter start to act more than ever in the story? Make no sense for me. It was the Big Deal for Rachelle…

That’s garbage! Bryce just wants in on the big money, I’m really glad she dies in Eclipse! Summit should have worked things out with Rachelle…
