Dakota Fanning, Kristen Stewart to co-star

Dakota Fanning and Kristen StewartKristen Stewart, 18, and Dakota Fanning, 15, will star in a movie together — as members of an all-girl hard rock band. Stewart will play Joan Jett in the biopic The Runaways, while Fanning will play the band’s 15-year-old lead singer Cherri  Currie, according to Variety. The movie will reportedly begin filming after the Twilight sequel New Moon is completed, in which Stewart stars and Fanning is rumored to be playing a supporting role. The Runaways, whose hits include ‘Cherry Bomb’ and ‘Queens Of Noise’, parted ways in 1979. Jett then went on to form Joan Jett and the Blackhearts and had her own hit songs such as ‘I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll’ and ‘Bad Reputation.’ In other news, Stewart reportedly bragged that Twilight fans would be incredibly upset if she bowed out of the series, saying: “It would be so easy for me to send so many hundreds of girls into such a frenzy by saying I want no part of any future [Twilight] movies.” However, she might be getting herself confused with Robert Pattinson — many Twilight fans say they would only be too thrilled to see Stewart replaced.

I definitely wouldn’t cry if they replaced her, she’s so arrogant. I think Camilla Belle would make a much better Bella. Robert Pattinson has to stay, at this point he Is Edward, but it would be nice if they don’t glue his hair up like they did for the last movie. It was better in the baseball scene, a little messy and not sprayed into place.

Hopefully Kristen doesn’t try to get Dakota taking drugs!!

I highly doubt all those teen girls are looking at her anyway, none of them would even notice if she was not in the sequel.

    You guys are terrible.

When someone is addicted to something, they cant help taking it.

    Its really not her fault.

And we dont even know it was pot she was smoking.

But I do agree, she’s not the best actress in the wrold, but for now, she will have to do.

“…When someone is addicted to something, they cant help taking it.”

Gimme a break. She shouldn’t have started. She only deserves out pity and respect if she’s actively trying to kick the habit, but this snowjob queen doesn’t look to be wanting to get aboard the recovery bus anytime soon. Look for her “stolen” cellphone pictures to come out where her career starts to slag.

Anyone out there could have done a better job with that role. 🙂

Oh give me a break, how can you guys go on about Stewart. I dont see you guys acting, and its POT omg such a harsh drug. Plus i think she fitted very well for the role for Bella, at least she can act, oh and wait have we all not been reading that her co star Robert is an a**hole, hmm which actor would i like to be around hmmmmm Stewart, at least i will know she will be calm and not rude.

OH Kristen – feel free to leave any time.
and you know – Rob untill you can act better, fell free to leave as well.

Guys just calm down about the whole thing mea once you start on a series then you have to keep the same actors it just wouldn’t be the same in the next movie. now rob can act alright im not saying that he’s the best actor because he isn’t but he’s good enough for edward for the time being and kristen again the same thing she alright but not great but if the replace her then why continue to watch the movies?? it wouldn’t be the same that my opinion and im sure a lot of people would agree with me maybe none of you but i know people do agree

Aw, I think she’s alright. She does make a pretty good Bella even though she IS quite stuck up. I think I would be disapointed if they replaced her because I already have the idea of what ‘Bella’ looks like and it has changed from what I originally thought. I think it would be sad if any of them were changed because they are known for who they play. Watching the Oscars, my dad even recognized Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen (well actually he said \that vampire guy\ but anyways.)

i honestly think people care way to much about the actors and actresses private life. It is meant to be just that, private. We solute those that come out of serious addictions and make something of them selves and yet we crush those that struggle with there addictions. Who are we to judge. We condone it in some and trash others. Strange. As for the movie, it was cast, you either watch it or you don’t, you either like it or you don’t, so what is all the fuss about? No one is telling you to like it, and no one is telling you to watch it. But trashing some one we don’t even know? This is seriously what is wrong with the world today when we are so quick to pass judgement!!! In todays economy and the state of the world, we all need to focus on being there for one another and becomming tighter as a people. That is that, where is the love????

I think the girl who was in Hotel for Dogs could replace Stewart as Bella. I liked Pattinson as Edward.

  12. Marina • March 7, 2009 @ 12:37 PM

Wow, some people are really mean. It isn’t nice to judge someone we don’t know. Really harsh. I think Stewart should stay since that’s what everyone now pictures as Bella, same with Pattinson. Changing that actors wouldn’t be good cause we recongize them for Twilight. It would be like changing the actors who play in Harry Potter for the up coming movie. People know Radcliffe for Harry and all the other actors for their characters. So just keep your thoughts to yourself if you’re going to judge someone.

dakota fanning is confirmed to be jane in new moon. And if kristen stewart wouldn’t be a part of the upcoming twilight movies that would be weird, i agree w/ marina, so what if she smoked pot.

  14. violet • March 7, 2009 @ 2:57 PM

wow, it’s so deliteful to see so many people so quick to pass judgement. i’d love to see people who don’t know you pick you apart and hear what they have to say. probably even worse things than i’ve read here since i’m certain you’re beyond less than perfect. it’s pathetic and sad.

  15. Nancy • March 7, 2009 @ 4:16 PM

I kinda took Kristen Stewart’ comment “It would be so easy for me to send so many hundreds of girls into such a frenzy by saying I want no part of any future Twilight movies.” not as bragging that the girls would be “incredibly upset” BUT that the girls would be in a frenzy trying to get her part and be close to Robert Pattinson…???

  16. Jeane • March 7, 2009 @ 4:45 PM

i disagree. Bella was my fav in twilight. i’d like to see what she does in the next 3 movies!

  17. Mel • March 8, 2009 @ 11:06 AM

i will def notice if she isnt in the twilight sequel, i think she did a great job…
cant wait for New Moon, and good thing she isnt getting replaced!

I’m still stuck on Alex’s comment that it’s not her fault that she’s hooked on drugs. I don’t know why we now live in a society where we always have to blame others for our refusal to take responsibility for our own lives, choices and actions. How can it not be her fault that she chose to get into drugs?? Every day I get so sick of people expecting OTHER people to take the responsibility for THEIR lives. They walk in front of and behind moving cars in parking lots. In tourist towns they see cars coming and step out in front of them anyway, GROUPS of them!! In a public place, they consistently walk right past “Information” desks (planted there for their convenience)and then go in circles, wondering where they should go to find such and such. And of course, it’s ALWAYS easier to question everyone else around them instead of look for the multitude of huge signs and arrows plastered all over the walls for their benefit. Yes, expect everyone else to look after them instead of take responsibility. Take a seat in an Atrium sometime where visitors must sign in and out upon arrival and exit. Count how many will ask the receptionist what time it is instead of refer to the watch they are wearing on their wrists. Again, it states….”Look after me,I’m an unthinking, helpless creature.” It’s not a toddler’s fault if it gets into the cupboard and consumes cleaning supplies, it doesn’t know any better. It is an adults fault if he/she gets into a cupboard and eats, drinks, shoots drugs. It’s all about taking responsibility and acting as if you’re an adult with a brain independant of a crowd’s collective brain, or NON brain. It boggles me as to how humans ever got to visit another planet or create the microwave when we can’t even find new and improved ways to look after ourselves or make choices responsibly.

  19. tributegirl • March 9, 2009 @ 5:18 PM

You’re right, Minerva, nobody wants or expects to take responsibility for their own actions anymore, and society is encouraging people to not take responsibility. Like when people say “he made a mistake”, or “he made a poor choice”! Give me a break! Those kinds of comments are just fluff!

Well, five of us went to see the movie together and when we got out to the car afterwards there was only one thing we ALL agreed on, Kristen Stewart was TERRIBLE as Bella.

  21. Monique • March 27, 2009 @ 12:17 AM

I Don’t Think Kristen Stewart Did A Great Job Playing Bella. The Book Bella Had Way More Personality. I Don’t Know If I Can Blame Kristen Or The Director But I Think Kristen Stewart Has No Personality…She Should Have Played One Of The Cullens. I Also Hope That The Future Movies Include Some Of The Original Text From The Stories….The Movie Took The Comedy Away From The Book. I Just Hope That They Stick To The Book A Bit More
