Despite J.J. Abrams‘ best efforts to keep Star Wars Episode VII‘s secrets under lock and key, dozens of concept images of the film were leaked onto the internet, possibly giving away major spoilers for the highly anticipated sequel trilogy. 32 photos were posted onto ImageShack under the account “themilleniumfalcon,” including [spoiler warning!] images of Darth Vader’s damaged robotic armor and varying images of Chewbacca with or without a new mechanical right arm (hinting that he may suffer a major injury in the trilogy).
The images also give a sneak peak of some of the major characters featured in the new saga, including a prominently shown female character, presumably played by actress Daisy Ridley. Several images of set pieces include citizens living among the ruins of the war between the Empire and the Rebel Alliance, hinting that life in a galaxy far, far away may have calmed down enough for people to settle in one place.
While the film’s creators have remained mum on the details, the film’s cast list is growing. It was recently announced that Warwick Davis will be in the film. No word on the role he’ll play, but he played an Ewok in Return of the Jedi in 1983 and a friend of young Anakin Skywalker in Phantom Menace. Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill are all reprising their roles from the original trilogy and will be joined by a new cast, including Academy Award-winner Lupita Nyong’o, Girls‘ Adam Driver, and Game of Thrones actress Gwendoline Christie. ~Kelly Townsend
