American Idol star on CSI: New York

Former American Idol finalist Katharine McPhee is set to play a singer on an episode of the weekly crime-drama CSI: New York, according to The Hollywood Reporter. McPhee, who came in second to Taylor Hicks during American Idol‘s fifth season, made her big screen in The House Bunny last year and played herself in a 2007 episode of Ugly Betty. She married longtime boyfriend, actor Nick Cokas, last year.
