George Clooney engagement ring estimated at $750,000

It’s hard to believe that George Clooney, 52, will no longer be the eternal bachelor, but now that he’s decided to settle down with British lawyer Amal Alamuddin, he made the engagement official with an enormous sparkler. According to People magazine, the couple stepped out and showed off Amal’s brand new stunning ring at a private party in Santa Barbara on April 27. George and Amal joined their friends to celebrate Rande Gerber’s birthday with Gerber and his wife, Cindy Crawford just five days after George popped the question on bended knee in London. The magazine has revealed that George helped design the sparkler, which also features two tapered baguettes. The emerald-cut high-clarity pure diamond creation, set in platinum, is classic and has a vintage vibe. The trend for all things vintage has become quite popular since the release of The Great Gatsby last year. This unexpected and happy twist in the pair’s relationship came seven months after George and Amal were first seen together. George had to work really hard to even score that first date.
