Chris Colfer, 20, who plays Kurt Hummel in the hit TV series Glee, says he was “terrified” by a drunken group of fans. Colfer is quoted by Yahoo as saying: “I was recently held hostage in an elevator by a group of women. I think they were a little drunk, granted, but they would not let me out until I took pictures with them. It was funny, but I was terrified. It was like the Aldonza rape scene in Man of La Mancha, if you get my drift. That’s kind of how I felt.” Colfer is nominated for an Emmy award for best supporting comedy actor and if he wins, he’ll be the youngest actor ever to claim that category. Colfer admits that it’s not only drunken fans that scare him — he’s also nervous about attending the Emmys. “Every red carpet I’ve ever gone to has been absolutely terrifying,” he told the L.A. Times. “From the minute you get out of the car, people are yelling your name constantly. It’s like high school all over again except that they’re not throwing things at you this time. They’re just taking pictures. My heart is speeding for the first 10 minutes. It’s very nerve-racking. I haven’t gotten used to it.”

Former Glee star Lea Michele is apologizing after former co-star Samantha Marie Ware accused her of making her time on set the TV series “a living hell.”
HAHA! That is hilarious! He was held hostage in an elevator? it doesn’t sound like a hostage situation to me, they weren’t threatening him or hurting him. They just wanted his picture, it’s not like they held him at gunpoint. He is so dramatic! he was in an elavator for probly 10 minutes with drunken fans, he is an attention whore!
ya because it was girls he should be grateful.. please.. if a girl was in an elevator and a group of drunk guys wouldn’t let her leave until she took a picture, they would all be in jail right now..
“It was like the Aldonza rape scene in Man of La Mancha, if you get my drift. Thats kind of how I felt” bc they wanted pics? it felt like he was being RAPED? hmmm, he needs to understand the difference between physical violence that can potentially shatter a persons entire life and being and getting your pic taken.
lmfao brad, yes, you are probably right 😛
so its ok that he compared his fame moment to a rape scene, but yet Kristen Stewart got scrutinized for using the word rape in her comparison?
i didnt say it was ok, quite the opposite. i agree that saying its like being raped is retarded. its just a picture, it isnt life altering, it didnt ruin his life, it didnt physically cause any kind of harm or damage, it didnt ruin the way he looks at women/men for the rest of his life, it didnt make him afraid to leave his house etc etc.
He probably would rather be surrounded by boys in an elevator.
I think what he was getting at was not that it felt like being raped, but just that moment. Like the fun could go turn at any moment. The point is they outnumbered him, in a contained space, and sometimes excited fans can go too far, thus making him very nervous/anxious. Not hurt as if he got raped!
if thats what he meant, mathue, then he should have said that.
