Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire posterThe long-awaited Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire debuted this weekend and did not disappoint, easily landing at the top of the weekend box office and scaring off competitors. Check below to see which movies secured a spot in the top five.

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire easily took down all competition at the box office, securing the No. 1 spot with $80 million in its opening weekend. Click here to read our review.

Last weekend’s top movie, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire moved just one spot to second, taking in an extra $15.7 million for a two-week total of $73.4 million. Click here to read our review.

Dune: Part Two starring Timothée Chalamet dropped a place to third, taking in an additional $11.1 million for a five-week total of $252.4 million.

Kung Fu Panda 4 starring Jack Black dropped to fourth, earning an additional $10.2 million for a four-week total of $151.7 million.

Rounding out the top five was Immaculate, the horror film starring Sydney Sweeney as a nun. It took in an extra $3.3 million for a two-week total of $11.1 million.
