Golden Globe winner Teri Hatcher kicked off dating app

Golden Globe-winning actress Teri Hatcher, known for her roles on Desperate Housewives and Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, was kicked off the dating app Hinge because they thought her profile was fake — also known as “catfishing.”
“I’ve tried them all, and I tried my latest one. I tried Hinge,” Teri said during an interview on the cooking podcast Getting Grilled with Curtis Stone. “I thought, I’m gonna say to the universe that I am open and vulnerable, and I’m putting myself out there. That’s what I thought my gesture of joining that Hinge app would be. And then they kicked me off. They thought I was pretending to be Teri Hatcher.”
Married twice before, Teri says her experience with Hinge was the last straw. “I’m definitely done with the dating apps. I feel like if there’s any way I’ll go somewhere and meet someone, that’s what it’s gonna have to be, but honestly, I’m happy. I have a really full life, a really busy life. I have beautiful friends. You know, it’s fine. I don’t need a man. I have a cat.”
Other celebrities who are on dating apps include Drew Barrymore, who told Austin Butler and Callum Turner on her show this week that she had a dating app date that evening, following their interview. They were supportive, but when Drew worried about “getting weird vibes right out of the gate,” Callum advised her, “Then run.”
Austin chimed in, saying, “Yeah, you go to the bathroom and you call a friend and you have them give you a surprise call.”
“Can you do that?” Drew asked. Austin volunteered to be her friend, saying “Yeah, just send me a text and I’ll call.”
