Harry Potter star sentenced to two years in prison

Jamie Waylett, the actor who played bully Vincent Crabbe in six of the Harry Potter films, has been sentenced to two years behind bars for his participation in the London riots last summer. Waylett, 22, was arrested in early October after he was identified on video footage drinking from a stolen bottle of champagne while holding a fueled-up Molotov cocktail. Although he was acquitted on the charge of intending to destroy property with a fire bomb, he was still found guilty of violent disorder. Along with the two-year prison term, Waylett has also been ordered to serve a concurrent 12-month sentence for handling stolen goods but will be eligible for parole after one year. This isn’t the first time the actor has been in a legal mess. In 2009, he was arrested after eight bags of pot were found in his vehicle plus 10 cannabis plants being grown in his home. His sentence was 120 hours of community service.

This guy looks like he made kids cry in real life at school. Definitely seems to fit his image though. And how does it make sense that for harboring drugs he gets community service but for joining hundreds of people in a riot he gets 2 years jail time?

I find it very telling about the Canadian justice system that this young man has a more punitive sentence than that of Graham James who was found guilty of more than 200 sexually abusive acts against minors.

Haha maybe BC cAnibus he’s not harming anyone. This kid has had history of violence I think he was involved in a knifing incident before

I hope the two years in prison give him something to think about, but I doubt it. He’s just an idiot and thanks to his little stunts, they wrote his character out of the last Harry Potter films.

He’ll get his in the end. Literally! They like young boys like this one in prison with the chubby hind cheeks. They’ll have this punk screaming for his mama in no time.
