Hayden’s dad arrested for punching her mom

Hayden Panettiere’s father, Alan, was arrested shortly after 3 a.m. Monday morning for allegedly attacking his wife, Lesley. He faces charges of felony domestic assault after police were called to the home. A sheriff’s spokesman says there was visible bruising on her face caused by several closed fist punches, and that alcohol was involved in the incident. “There was a domestic argument between the mother and father. Earlier, they were at a party and the husband apparently felt disrespected by his wife,” Sgt. Wolf of the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Department said. Alan was apparently angry after Lesley was seen talking with Clint Eastwood’s son Scott Reeves all night at a charity benefit for the Whaleman Foundation hosted by daughter Hayden. Hayden, 19, does not live at home, however, she has a 13-year-old brother, Jansen, also an actor, who may have witnessed the incident. Alan is free on bail and no restraining order has been taken out on him. The family’s rep would only say, “This is a private matter. We have no comment.”
