Demi Lovato drug dealer arrest warrant issued

The Los Angeles District Attorney issued a bench warrant on Monday after the 31-year-old dealer failed to show up for his arraignment in relation to an earlier arrest. Once apprehended, he will be arrested again and held on $26,000 bail.

Although he was due in court for a DUI and cocaine possession, this is not Johnson’s first run-in with the law. In March he was arrested for felony possession of narcotics and a firearm, and reportedly had $10,000 in cash on his person. Police searched his home and uncovered “additional narcotics, ammunition, [a] high capacity gun, rifle magazines and three handguns, one of which was stolen,” as reported by the Los Angeles Daily News. Pictured above at right are some of the items the L.A.P.D. found in his possession.

Johnson has admitted to providing Demi, 26, with drugs the night she overdosed but won’t face legal repercussions for the incident because it was treated as a medical emergency rather than a crime.

In his testimony, Johnson insisted Demi knew what she was taking and had been told the drugs were not pharmaceutical. She reportedly ingested oxycodone laced with fentanyl and was found unconscious and unresponsive in her bed the next morning by an assistant who called 911. Following hospitalization, Demi was admitted into rehab.

Her mother, Dianne de la Garza, recently broken her silence about her daughter’s terrifying overdose and revealed it took two days before they knew whether or not Demi was going to survive.

“She just didn’t look good — at all. She was in bad shape.” Dianne credits her faith for helping her through the difficult time, particularly when it was uncertain if Demi was going to recover.

“I prayed, of course, all the way to the hospital, and my faith is strong. I think that was one of the things that got me through the next couple of days when [Demi] was in critical condition. We just didn’t know for two days if she was going to make it or not.”

At the end of the interview, Dianne thanked the show for allowing her to express herself and bring awareness to the opioid crisis in America that she says is at an “epidemic level.”

“It’s something that, if it has not touched your family’s life right now, before this gets any better, it has every chance of doing that. So thank you for helping me speak out. I want to do whatever I can in this fight and fight with whoever will help.” ~Caitlyn Clancey

Wow, I didn’t realize she came that close to dying. Hopefully it knocked some sense into her.

Why does anyone USE drugs in the first place.
They must be very NEEDY and not comfortable with
themselves….always trying to FIT in – not being
very SMART and certainly NOT brought up to be stubborn
and show their intelligence to just say NO>

Sounds like you need to get high, Shirl.

5 comments and the only one that makes sense is Pat unfortunately. The reality is that you don’t have to look to far to find someone close to you that has an addiction- believe it or not. Saying “no” is what everyone wants to say they do, but many go down that path and for a variety of reasons, cannot stop.
Trying to kill someone through malice is a crime, that is why he has to receive consequences for his behaviour.
The sample of comments gives a real twisted representation of how society acts towards people with addictions. ” You did it to yourself” is so easy to say, and yet the self-righteous behave negatively in other ways and make a community ill.

My niece, who was on the honor roll in high school, and a star soccer player, had an accident while playing soccer, breaking her leg. The bone was actually sticking out and had to be reset three times with a pin before it was right. She was given Oxy as a pain killer. She became addicted after that. She was born addicted to cocaine through no fault of her own. She has had problems with addiction now for the last 15 years. She is currently in jail for a year for violating her probation. She needs rehab, not jail. The drug manufacturers are the ones to blame and should have to pay for rehab for all these people who became addicts. I could not agree with Sandra, Axeman and Pat more. Unfortunately society has deemed us as the week for our addiction. Society has also found both of my children to have Autism. Not one person in my family believes this and we all see very happy 7 & 8 year old. Both of them being autistic gives jobs to about 5 doctors who before never had jobs. I have been clean for some time now with 15 years of walking the high steel as an Ironwoker and currently looking at taking a Structural Engineering course for my love of mathematics and people’s safety. I am very stubborn and a perfectionist as well. I do not settle for “ it’s good enough “ I work to make things close to perfect 👌 .

So being smart enough or not being comfortable with my self is not the problem fir me and many others. Unfortunately those who feel that way often leave us only with memories of them ☹️

All I’m saying Shirl is do not judge a book by it’s cover and do not stereotype. We all have our life problems.

Obviously Shirl you never tried drugs. You must be a nun. Everyone has tried drugs. Does not mean she is needy it means she is curious. Some people are stronger than others. I was brought up in a stronger catholic family and I tried drugs for awhile. I got out before the harsh drugs came in. It does not tarnish your character. She slipped okay. I do not think any different of her. Everybody is making it a big thing because she is a star. No one is perfect. Plus we do not know what she has to go through everyday. It is a lot of pressure I bet to be her. I just have to pray for her.

Every one who smokes or drinks or overeats is addicted. So get off your High Horse and understand the problem. Just a poor choice in her addiction.

  14. Randa • September 27, 2018 @ 12:19 AM

Theres a warrant for his arrest because he didnt appear for his arraignment. It also stated in the article that her overdose is being treated as a medical emergency not as a crime. Her overdose has nothing to do with why he has a warrant …
